Olive Green Fingerless Gloves
Started: January 9, 2011
Stopped: January 9, 2011 -Ran out of discontinued Ornaghi Filati
Pattern said one skein would be okay. I must stitch a little more loose. I am hoping to find 1 skein of discontinued skein of Ornaghi Filati - Puntu Su Punto " Big Kind" Lavabile in lavatrice yarn. Crossing fingers...
I started knitting and crocheting at the age of 8. I was 9 years old when I really fell in love with the craft. I was taught by my Grandmother and my Mother. I was taught how to read Japanese graphs and/or look at a garment and make it. I taught myself how to read grids and patterns, and if I get stuck, I have a close friend to help me.

Multi-Color Fingerless Gloves
Happy New Year 2011!
Fetching fingerless gloves
Started: January 5, 2011
Finished: January 8, 2011
Here is the Fingerless Gloves finished - I was not sure if I would have enough yarn to make the set of gloves. I decided to use the multi-color on the lower part and a solid color throughout the center of the gloves. Here is the finished fingerless gloves.
January 6, 2011 - One glove done.
I am using up my yarn stash that I have bought over the years and/or that others have given to me. The skein of yarn I am using is Punto Su Punto Filati -Biberon merino superfine. I might incorporate Ornaghi filati - Gong with it. See the colors below.

Knitted Lace Wrap -Shrug
Happy New Year 2011!
White with Black Beads - Wrap/Shrug - for my Mother-In-Laws Christmas gift
Started: August 18, 2010
Finished: October 25, 2010 - rectangular part
Completely Done: November 30, 2010 - sewing 2 pieces together
Okay, I stopped making my shrug, so that I could make my Mother-In-Law this beautiful wrap/shrug. She loves to wear a lot of black and white so I decided to make her one. This is what it looks like done!!
She loves what I made her, however, the material is a bit heavy for her. I offered to make her a new wrap/shrug to replace the original Christmas gift I gave her. She would like it out of angora and the color she chose was black. I am so excited!! =)
I will post that when I get started on it!!

Beige Lace Wrap - Shrug
I didn't know how to read graphs in a knitting book, but I thought if I can do counted cross stitch, why couldn't I learn how to read graphs. I saw a sample Lace Shrug with beads at our store where I work. I wanted to make one for myself, so I challenged myself once again. I had left over red heart yarn and tackled the graph pattern. I finally got the graph pattern after I took it apart 7 times...yes, you read right 7 times. This is was it looks like so far I am more than half way done.
