Happy New Year 2011!!!
I have not been on for quiet some time since I have been able to post. Here is an update on the citron shawl finally!
Started: August 1, 2010
Finished: November, 28, 2010
The original citron shawl below that I did in Noro yarn I took it apart. I didn't like the way it. The yarn I decided to use - Araucania - it was given to me - Thank you TB!!!-
I added extra rows at the bottom of the shawl to give it length. I then added some beads to enhance it.

Finish - took it apart - didn't like the way it looked
Update July 25 -I have not made a knitted lace shawl...a lot of yarn overs and counting. I really liked this shawl so I decided to challenge myself to make it, at the same time read the pattern. It took me about 5 tries before I got this far. Once it is finished I will block it. I will post a new photo once it is done and once it is blocked.
The yarn I am using is Noro- the world of nature - Color no. S245 - Silk Garden sock yarn. I got this yarn from a wonderful lady by the name of TB, she gave me a white trash bag full of high quality yarn last year. She was cleaning out her stash..
Thank you TB!!! =)
I started knitting and crocheting at the age of 8. I was 9 years old when I really fell in love with the craft. I was taught by my Grandmother and my Mother. I was taught how to read Japanese graphs and/or look at a garment and make it. I taught myself how to read grids and patterns, and if I get stuck, I have a close friend to help me.

My first sock I ever made...
Started August 12, 2009
Finished August 24, 2009
I had the opprotunity to be taught how to make a sock about ten years ago. I was to intimidated to make one and just was not ready.
However, timing is everything. One night at the shop I work at had a weaving demo.
I debated many times to learn - not to learn. Finally the best won out. I learned how to cast onto 4 needles and from there I challeneged myself to make a sock. I watched demos, etc. and learned watching a person on you tube, (like 20 times) she knitted way too fast. I just couldn’t wait two weeks to learn the heel and Gosset. I basically with trial and erros to learn how to make a sock on my ownl, with a help of a freind who taught me to cast on.
Of all things, I ever made, I did impress myself on how to make a sock. =-)
Ribbed Baby Hat & Booties
Pink Felted Bag
Finished April 4, 2010
Started March 25, 2010
Here is the finished piece. This felted bag has pockets in it as well...
I then matched the material to make a lining for the felted bag. I also added my name to it.
Once the I finished knitting the I-Cord and the body of the bag. I washed it in hot water. Once the cycle was done I took it out and stuffed the felted bag with newspapers and let it dry.
I then made the I-Cord (straps)
I started making the body of the felted bag first with a sold color rouge by Louet Riverstone. I accented it with some ribbon Dazzle yarn
